I work with those who have spent years holding it all together often by overcompensating, masking, or quietly running on empty.

It’s not that you’re flaky.
You've been carrying more than most people can see.

Whether you’ve been recently diagnosed or have long suspected ADHD was part of your story, I offer a space to untangle the confusion and rebuild self-trust.

ADHD Clients
Come To Me When:

My Therapy Helps You Work With Your Brain, Not Against It

You’ve likely spent years internalizing the idea that you’re lazy, disorganized, or falling short. In reality, you’ve been carrying an invisible weight without enough support.

Therapy is where we slow down and make space for your full experience. Together, we look at what’s beneath the frustration and fatigue - shame, identity shifts, and the constant pressure to keep performing. From there, we build strategies that work for you as a whole person, not just for productivity’s sake.

I often describe ADHD therapy as working on two tracks:

  • The inner track: healing the relationship you have with yourself

  • The outer track: building systems that support focus, emotional regulation, and follow-through

We make room for your mind as it is not as it “should” be.

Let's Talk

Techniques We’ll Use in
ADHD Therapy

  • Uncover how past experiences shaped your self-concept.

We explore how early relationships, schooling, or internalized expectations shaped patterns of shame, perfectionism, or feeling “too much” or “not enough.”

  • Make space for tough thoughts without letting them take over.

ACT helps you defuse from self-critical thinking and reconnect to your values so you can move through daily life with more clarity and less pressure.

  • Challenge unhelpful beliefs and build supportive thinking.

CBT helps you notice patterns like all-or-nothing thinking or catastrophizing and

  • Rebuild your relationship with yourself.

These techniques help soften the inner judgment and offer a new script, one that includes grace, patience, and respect for the brain you have.

  • Strengthen emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

These strategies help you manage intense emotions, reduce impulsivity, and feel more grounded in daily life.

  • Turn big goals into doable steps.

We work on practical tools for planning, prioritizing, and creating systems that support focus and follow-through.

Meet With Me

Hi, I’m Dr. Nicole Baum

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting adults navigating ADHD, identity, and burnout.

My doctoral dissertation focused on learning disabilities and self-concept - work that deepened my understanding of how attention and learning differences shape self-worth over time.

While I’m not an ADHD coach or evaluator, I specialize in therapy for women who are often diagnosed later in life and left wondering what it all means. Many of my clients juggle high-demand careers, caregiving roles, and the invisible mental load that comes with both. Together, we move away from overcompensating and toward building systems, mindsets, and self-trust that fit who you are and how you live.

If you’re tired of carrying this on your own, I’m here to support you.
