FAQs

  • Therapy is most helpful when you feel comfortable, understood, and connected with your therapist. Many people get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit within the first few sessions. To help you explore this, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where you can get a feel for my approach and ask any questions before deciding to move forward.

  • I am based in New York City and provide therapy virtually throughout New York and Massachusetts. All sessions take place via secure telehealth, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

    • Initial assessment (60 minutes): $375

    • Individual session (53+ minutes): $300

    • Individual session (45 minutes): $275

  • I am an out-of-network provider, so sessions are paid directly at the time of service. If you have a PPO plan with out-of-network benefits, your insurance may reimburse a portion of the cost (often 50–80%). I’ll provide you with a monthly statement (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance.

  • I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients with financial need, though I do not currently have any available.

  • Self-pay gives you greater flexibility in your therapy—without insurance restrictions, session limits, or the need for a formal diagnosis. This allows us to fully tailor our work together to your unique needs and preferences.

  • Your session time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel, I ask for at least 48 business hours’ notice so I can offer that time to someone else. Sessions canceled with less notice are charged in full.

  • Everyone’s journey is different. Some people notice changes early on, while for others progress takes more time. What matters most is your willingness to show up openly, explore honestly, and practice new skills between sessions—the combination that supports meaningful growth.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before we begin therapy, and you can request one at any time. The estimate is designed to give you clear information about costs and does not require you to commit to a certain number of sessions.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit the CMS No Surprises fact sheet or call 1-800-985-3059.
